Senior Credit Risk Consultant (Acquisitions Risk Scoring Modelling) - London - 12 months
Senior Credit Risk Consultant (Acquisitions Risk Scoring Modelling) required to join a multinational telecommunications company based in London on an initial 12 month contract.
As part of your role, you will be working within the client's Customer Billing - Credit Risk and Fraud Team. You will also be working closely with the organisation' Customer Acquisition Risk team and the Credit Risk and Fraud Department.
Key responsibilities:
You will:
- Design and implement Acquisition Risk Strategy for the relevant consumer products through statistical modelling and analysis, optimising performance to reduce fraud, early churn and bad debt.
- Refine and maintain Acquisitions end to end process and policy management - identifying requirements, ensuring compliance and best practice to foster continuous improvement aligning to the wider product portfolio as required.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the field of Acquisition Credit Risk and Statistical Modelling
- Create virtual teams across the wider business as and when required to resolve priority cross functional issues
- Be accountable for the design and implementation of Credit Risk Acquisition policies working with key stakeholders.
- Develop and own the forecasting and tracking of early churn performance.
- Establish and maintain key relationships across the organisation including Senior Management Team and external suppliers to support the Credit Risk function.
- Provide detailed analysis and insight of acquisition risk performance to identify trends and opportunities to drive improvements in core KPIs.
- Quantify the impact of initiatives and monitor progress against agreed plan to deliver company level targets.
- Produce consistent insight and deliver cohesive and coherent message on Credit Risk issues to present to Senior Stakeholders.
- Represent Acquisition Credit Risk in key governance meetings and operational forums to promote the successful adoption of initiatives and policies within the wider business
- Support the roll out of policies and processes within the Operation
- To maintain personal and professional development in the Credit risk area.
Mandatory Skills
Suitable candidates will have:
- Worked as a flexible and driven Senior Consultant with experience of in delivering and optimising acquisition risk strategies through statistical analysis.
- Experience of high volume consumer Credit Risk Acquisition systems and decision engines
- Proven ability to manage all aspect of a high volume consumer portfolio
- Experience in the Telecommunications domain preferably within a Credit Risk role
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Evidence of managing senior stakeholders and influencing senior management decisions
- A strong team player with good motivational skills
- Flexibility to travel if required
- Excellent knowledge of SAS
- Excellent VBA and Excel skills
- Previously demonstrated an innovative approach to Acquisition Risk management
- A degree level or equivalent experience in a financial or business specialism
