Senior Finance Manager - Maternity Cover - Central London
My client is a fast growing startup company in the fashion industry who are looking to recruit a Finance Manager on a maternity contract to cover all finance-related activities including all direct responsibility for accounting and finance.
About the role:
Management of monthly accounts, payments and cash management, as well as preparation of statutory accounts, with support of external accountants
Develop annual and quarterly budgets, working with senior leadership team
Forecasting, financial planning and maintenance of KPIs for senior management
Advise senior management on financial implications of business activities
Prepare performance reports for senior management, board and investors
Manage employee expense claims
Track sales performance and commissions
Support leadership team on fund-raising activity, including developing financial projections, due diligence and deal support
Review current financial practices and optimise operating procedures
Oversee company secretarial activities (eg Companies House filings) with external accountants
Manage company stock option plan, including dealing with HMRC
Oversee payroll and commissions
About you:
Very strong attention to detail, highly organised and able to develop and manage processes
7+ years working experience in industry
Professional accounting designation, ideally with training at a top accounting firm
Experience working with and advising senior management outside of finance function
Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills (including strong financial modelling skills)
Experience with or exposure to legal matters and working with lawyer
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience in digital, media and/or a start-up is very beneficial, with preference for experience in online product-based companies
Ideally experience with global operations
Results-oriented, able to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment
