Project Manager - Customer Treatments - £259 per day - Leeds

A leading retail bank based in Leeds is seeking a Project Manager to join a customer treatment programme for an initial 6 month period.

Programme and Project Overview

  • A judgment has been made in Northern Ireland concluding that the Banks practice of including arrears in the recalculation of the monthly payment constitutes capitalisation or consolidation of arrears.
  • Although we disagree with the findings of the court, the Northern Ireland judgment states that by consolidating arrears the Bank has waived its right to demand those arrears over and above the demand for the newly calculated Contractual Monthly Payment (CMP). Additionally the conclusion of the court is that any arrears that have been included in the recalculation of the CMP should no longer be considered when progressing accounts to litigation. The bank is awaiting clear guidance from the FCA with what actions we need to take to progress this judgement. MTM2 is the banks belief of what remediation needs to take place to ensure we are lawful based on the current guidance from the FCA.
  • Within this Programme, the People Legal and Strategy (PLS) project has been established to manage the people and systems impacts of the programme and to define the HR Shared Services Model.

Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Deliverables

  • Project Governance activities including Microsoft Project Plan, Project Status Reporting, Risk/Issue Management, Cost Tracking
  • Day to day activities managing the actions against the plan, stakeholder management
  • Expectation to manage the Customer Services work packages, reporting up into the wider programme for tasks
  • Reporting into Lead Project Manager

Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience

The candidate should be:

  • An experienced Project Manager who has worked in the Banking Sector.
  • Has a proven change management skills, including planning, risk management.
  • Stakeholder management skills to build effective relationships with Customer Services and Programme Teams.
  • Experience within Customer Services or Regulatory Management.
  • Clear communicator who can articulate and present updates appropriately depending on the audience.

Desirable Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Ideally the candidate would have a Financial sector/Regulatory or Complaints background

Additional Information

This role is to work within Leeds with some homeworking and a flexible working pattern. There is minimal travel required for this role.
