Quality Inspector
A global IT Consulting firm is looking for a Quality Inspector to join their office in Leicestershire, UK.
- Shall possess a Degree/Post graduate in Mechanical Engineering/Production and shall have an experience of 6 to 8 years in a manufacturing environment preferable in an Aerospace industry.
- Shall have the capability to interpret engineering, drawings, digital product definitions, specification, purchase orders, tooling, and other data deemed necessary in order to inspect the parts produced.
- Shall possess the necessary certification requirements for inspection as per regulatory authority.
- Shall have basic knowledge of measuring instruments used for dimensional inspection of fabricated parts.
- Strong blueprint reading skills including GD&T and able to use hand measuring tools such as micrometers, indicators, and comparators for dimensional and visual inspections.
- Shall be familiar with inspection requirements for assembly processes like; Riveting, Bearing installation, torque requirements of fasteners and procedure for FOD, ICY measuring requirements etc.
- Selection of right measurement tool based on assembly process requirements.
- Sound knowledge on Quality system AS9100 and ISO9001 for implementation across organization and familiarity with FAI and PPAP system.
- Performing first article inspection and good understanding of FAI requirements per AS 9100.
- Recording and reviewing for accuracy inspection data AS9102 forms ( Form I, II and III)
- Calibration of hand gauges
- Effectively manage activities involved to meet the delivery commitments
- Documentation control processes, planning and implementation.
- Maintaining necessary documentation and data to ensure customer quality requirements.
- Shall be capable to handle independently the quality requirements and certification requirements for the product before shipping as per customer standard.
- Shall be willing to take up any additional certification/qualification requirements that are specific to customer.
- Shall be familiar with packaging and requirements before shipping
Skill set:
- Aerospace Industry quality inspection
- Sound knowledge in SAE AS9100 & AS9102B spec
- Excel and Word proficiency, and ability to communicate effectively
