Global Data Domain Consultant

The department has a worldwide responsibility for all IT processes, solutions and services. The aim is to further enhance its global functions by delivering common business driven solutions and services.
The department drives the vision for all data and information related activities, which includes Master Data Management and Business Intelligence operations. The scope of this department includes both the standards definition for Infrastructure & Data Services to enable the business, and the day-to-day support and maintenance activities for services (such as Workplace Solutions, Network, Data Centres, Security, Master Data Management and Business Intelligence). IDS will act as a control function and manage vendors based on budget and service performance.
The Global Data Domain Consultant reports to the Global Data Lead in the Data Services Team. This team is responsible for working with the organisationsfunctions including Commerce, Supply Chain, Procurement and Finance and the clients Operating Companies in the creation, maintenance and continuous improvement of master data to ensure optimal execution of business processes as well as reporting accuracy.
The Global Data Domain Consultant is responsible for continuously improving master data quality for their assigned data domain (such as Vendor, Customer, and Product).
The role also develops and executes the Enterprise Master Data strategy for that domain. This role works closely with the domain data owner and acts as a consultant for the domain from a data perspective.
For a large programme we are in the need for a Data Domain consultant to perform a Navision data migration with BODS. We are looking for a self-starter with excellent communication skills, as participation with direct partners and Operating Companies will be of daily routine.
Description of activities
- Contribute to defining and implementing the Data Management strategy
- Reviews metrics and initiating actions to improve performance
- Establish and maintain data standards
- Conduct root-cause analysis for data related issues
- Understand and actively communicate business benefits of making data a corporate asset
- Actively champion data management projects and initiatives
- Adhere to governance policies and procedures
Expertise
- A track record of successful data migration and specific expertise in BODS
- MS Navision
- Background in FMCG Industry/large corporations is preferred
- Experience with governing, enforcing driving and communicating Data standards
- Exposure to enterprise business processes
- Project management experience is a plus
- Experience with the SAP MDM is a plus
- Material Master

- Highly proficient in MS Office
- Possesses deep Business Domain knowledge
