Description
Financial Controls Analyst required by Whitehall resources for 6 to 12 month initial contract based in London with two days travel to Derbyshire.
The purpose of the role
The Controls Analyst will map all Finance Service Centre processes, identify process owners and control owners, identify risks and controls, produce RACMs, and identify any control gaps. The Controls Analyst will suggest and write remediation plans for all control gaps and work with the relevant stakeholders to implement the remediation plans.
Experience and skills:
- Experience documenting/implementing a financial controls framework
- Understanding of financial statement impact of risks and controls
- Experience of service centre processes
- Experience of process mapping and writing controls and identifying risks
- Experience in writing control remediation plans
- Comfortable with stakeholder management and holding regular workshops/driving workshop scenarios
- Experience of governance risk & compliance software (not essential)
- SoX experience not essential (but preferred)
- Start date immediate preferred, within a month essential
