Assurance Testing SME - Audits, Reports, Technical/Non Technical Evidence
Objectives and scope of services
Main tasks
Assist with assurance testing on transversal audit findings.
This will include assistance with:
- Determining sample based on Assurance Testing methodology/sampling criteria
- Setting up engagement with entities
- Requesting evidence/information as it relates to the sample to be assured against
- Inspecting/analysing evidence provided by the entity and expressing opinion as to the level of reliance to be placed on the self-assessment work performed by the entity
- IT Audit skills to assess sample of controls implemented to determine efficiency and effectiveness of said control as well as recommending possible remediation activities
- Report writing (Compiling management information as part of internal reporting as well as formal feedback to entities assessed)
Must have IT Audit skills
Ability to understand technical IT controls and methods of testing such controls in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. Ability to analyse evidence (technical and non-technical) to express opinion in terms of reliability and level of assurance that can be placed on self-assessment work performed by entities.

Experience
- 3-5 years IT Audit or similar experience
- Expected deliverables
- Evaluation of self-assessment work/evidence performed by entities against IT Security requirement documentation
- Expressing opinion as to the level of reliance to be placed on such self-assessments.
- Sample based assurance testing of technical and/or managerial controls.
- Report writing
