Composite Repair Technician
Salisbury, Boscombe Down
£18.00 per hour + £1 Retention
6 month initial contract opportunity
Outline of duties:
- To ensure that repair task and other related tasks are carried out efficiently and to quality in accordance with regulatory and corporate procedures.
- The post holder ensures his/her competency is at the required standard.
- The post holder carries out his/her assigned tasks as directed by the Supervisor/Task Manager/Hangar Management.
- The technician will ensure that he/she has the authority from the Supervisor prior to progression to the next stage and that the task/equipment paperwork accurately reflects the physical state of the component/equipment no later than close of play each working day.
- Ensure the tasks are carried out as directed and available to meet the customer's requirements/
flying programme. - Carry out duties, as required, at detached specialist facility locations
Experience and Knowledge:
- NVQ in engineering, or equivalent.
- Qualification course in Composite Materials and repair/manufacture thereof, advanced standard an advantage.
- Good team working skills
- Good communications skills
- Computer literate
- Good understanding of aircraft repair publications and documentation set
- Competency on a range of GRP techniques
Skills and Competencies:
- NVQ in engineering, or equivalent.
- Qualification courses in Composite Materials and repair/manufacture thereof, advanced standard an advantage
- Engineering Technician status or relevant GRP repair experience (3 years plus).
