Controls Lead Analyst - HSBC
This is an initial 6 month contract based in London.
The role of Trade Data Quality Controls Assurance Lead Analyst sits within the new TDQ function within GM Middle Office and reports directly into the Global Controls Manager.
The Successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of all new data quality assurance controls and MI for consumption by downstream consumers directly. They will also be responsible for understanding all external BAU IT controls to ensure these controls are understood and are able to be reviewed to ensure continued added value to stakeholders. They will be expected to put in place teams to ensure the streamlined delivery and execution of consumer-required controls as well as expanding out controls to meet new requirements. They will also be responsible for taking an innovative approach to understanding consumer requirements and recommending further opportunities to add value to downstream stakeholders. The delivery of new controls will impact the success of the function as a whole, and this role is key in ensuring this value-add for downstream stakeholders.
Role Context
- The role holder must be capable of navigating a large, complex organisation and working cross asset class and have a proven ability within a technology and data heavy front-to-back environment.
- Background in Investment Banking and Markets, with extensive knowledge of business control processes, effective management of the change life cycle and experience of dealing with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Understanding of the scope of controls and data lineage and experience in working across multiple teams within a large complex organisation to ensure buy-in and value-add to all stakeholders
Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications
- Data analytical experience required
- An individual with a strategic approach who can work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to drive through significant change in aggressive timelines.
- Experience of Trade Data and/or associated Operational Controls.
- Experience in driving complex and large change initiatives through to delivery.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong influencing skills.
- Finance and/or Risk control experience
- Experience using Lava, Qlikview, Qliksense, Excel
