Description

Financial Analyst/Pinewood, Wokingham/6 months Contract/22 to 28 GBP (Per Hour)

Responsibilities

  • Updating of reports & analytics solutions with new data on regular basis
  • Perform data reconciliations to ensure highest level of data integrity
  • Maintenance of master data hierarchies
  • Resolving end user queries and support via the Helpdesk
  • Provide ad hoc analytical & report development support to end user for non-standard business analysis needs
  • Support on-going training to end users on all reporting & analytics platforms
  • Evolve and enhance standard reporting & analytics tools and reporting catalogues in line with business needs and feedback
  • Further streamlining of Reporting & Analytics team processes/activities to maximize efficiency
  • Keeping abreast of developments in the business analytics arena both internally and external
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned.
  • Support the GAP-FIT process to identify reporting gaps between newly developed regional and global reporting tools and existing Legacy tools
  • Work with end users to understand missing requirements and agree optimal approach to tackle.
  • Where appropriate support the development of new reports/analysis/visualization based on GAP-FIT process including the establishment of the appropriate data flows/data population process required to make report operations
  • Testing of new reports in conjunction with end users prior to being made operational
  • Support the development and roll out of end user training materials for above solutions

Required Qualifications

  • Strong interest to work with financial systems and a profound technical understanding
  • Seasoned leadership skills to influence team work & achieve deliverables commitments.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and complex issues and at the same time keeping the overall overview.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to synthesize facts into meaningful information and lead action oriented meetings with team members and senior stakeholders.
  • Proficient MS Office skills and ideally experience with Qlikview

Preferred Minimum Education: MBA or Equivalent Other

Preferred Area of Study: Accounting, finance.

Preferred Related Industry Experience (if applicable): Pharmaceuticals

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: to this position, both directly and through direct reports.
