Description

Harvey Nash's public sector client is currently looking for a Commercial Contracts Director to join their Glasgow based team. As part of the leadership team and reporting to Programme Director, your role will be to manage all commercial aspects of an inflight and high profile programme of work. This role would be ideally suited to someone with significant experience of managing large contracts and a background in finance.

Essential Skills

  • Experience of procurement, contract management and negotiating large and complex contracts
  • Track record of managing high profile and complex projects
  • Implementation of controls relating to finance, governance and reporting
  • Demonstrable evidence of strategic commercial decision making eg the structuring of an appropriate commercial strategy for potential residual programme funds.
  • Demonstrable evidence of managing and negotiating successful changes to contracts for large scale investment projects procurement expertise with, including the experience to include a leadership team role in a large scale/complex procurement (ICT)negotiate with supplier legal teams.
  • Contribute to the development of the business case
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

Please note it would be highly advantageous if you had a legal background. This is not essential but you would need to be able to demonstrate significant experience of dealing with highly complex inflight contracts.
