Finance Analyst - 3rd Party/Vendor Costs
Halifax
Contract - 6 months
Pontoon Solutions, on behalf of one of our major banking clients is looking for a Finance Analyst in Halifax. This will be a on a contract basis for an initial 6 months.
The role is required to:
- Ensures effective and efficient financial frameworks are in place in order to manage the commercial and operational relationship with GFS Preferred Suppliers.
- Be responsible for delivering high quality MI reporting and analysis to support appropriate control and governance, in order to ensure smooth operation and quantifiable improvements.
- Immediate task is to build a current consolidated view of the work order position for the team and provide ongoing data integrity for future manipulation and reporting as well as implementing ongoing tracking mechanisms.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Bank policy and effective monitoring and reporting across Supplier Finance
- Build effective relationships with nominated supplier and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate the management of feedback & Quality Assurance measures and processes to support objective analysis of supplier delivery
- Support Business Finance control and reporting
- Assist with the introduction/delivery of monthly supplier league tables/metrics that demonstrate performance against quality, speed and cost.
- Support the implementation of medium term operational plans in context of the strategic direction
Skills and Experience Required
- Experienced Financial Analyst
- Part Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or equiv)
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Able to document large amounts of data into an digestable format
- Experience of analysing 3rd Party/supplier/Vendor/Off shore costs
