Description
My client is looking for an Information/Data Architect to assist with shaping information architecture, data governance, data quality management and data-democratisation:
- Define and evangelize the short-term and long-term vision on information architecture and data governance in light of the increasing strategic importance and value of data within the company.
- Identify the right balance in the way data governance and information architecture is conducted for small- and large-scale data assets (ie level of automation, level of detail, coverage, long-term vs short-term focus, cost).
- Identify opportunities for unlocking business value from (integrating) data sources cross-departmentally.
- Take ownership of information maturity and (meta-)data quality assessments (as-is), and define short- and long-term targets (to-be).
SKILLS
Clear Communication:
- You're an excellent communicator and storyteller, effectively tuning your delivery to your target audience, ie from engineer to C-level executive. You build up and maintain interpersonal relationships with ease.
Experience:
- You can count on 7 years of experience in data-centric IT activities and have assembled ample experience in rolling out effective data governance processes.
Business acumen:
- You are able to quickly grasp new business processes and have an aptitude for identifying the best ways to improve or enable them using data.
Pragmatic:
- You are able to strike the right balance between theoretically perfect solutions and sensible/realistic solutions
Big Data technology:
- Experience or profound interest in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Elasticsearch, Kafka, ...)
Frameworks:
- Knowledge of DAMA/DMBOK, TOGAF, TMForum is a plus
Customer-oriented:
- View data value in light of personalized, customer experience
