SAP Implementation Programme Manager role

Role: EWM/WMS Implementation Programme/Project Manager

My client is currently searching for a Programme/Project Manager who can spearhead the roll out of a brand new SAP EWM system, with the aim of going live in Spring 2018. The purpose of this role is to produce and manage a programme plan to ensure that 3rd party stakeholders deliver a successful and punctual implentation.

Specific objectives
  • Manage and Control the Programme, taking responsibility for getting decisions, facilitating the right discussions and enabling decision-makers to understand the relevant details in order to focus on the right things effectively
  • Review and manage the Project Scope to ensure that operational needs are met but within the cost and time constraints allowed for.
  • Manage the Change Control process
  • Manage relationships between the partners involved in the project, to ensure all are working together
  • Track the budget and process Purchase Orders, invoices etc
  • Help to manage the organisational/business change programme effectively by ensuring that good communications are developed, cross-functional working is encouraged and dependencies are understood and delivered
  • Identify specific organisational change requirements and support the client in delivering them
  • Manage the development of good data prior to implementation and ensure the client is in a position to maintain it post-transition
  • Organise and lead review processes, including weekly status report, monthly steering group meetings
  • Ensure any technology requirements are identified and met
  • Work with 3rd party stakeholders to build migration and cutover plans and ensure the client is in a position to deliver them.


Person requirements
  • Ability to act impartially to manage all parties involved in the project.
  • Ability to pick up the project post-design phase and follow through to post-implementation
  • Ability to understand and provide links between Phases 1 and 2, ie including ECC/Finance aspects
  • Appropriate sector/operational/commercial awareness to understand the context of SAP requirements.


This role reports into the Supply Chain Director

It is likely that there will also be the overseeing of SAP to Store interfaces and potentially the implementation of Labour Management within the project timelines
