Project Manager - Insurance - NDA Project - 13 months - Edinburgh - £259/day

A top retail bank based in Edinburgh is currently seeking a Project Manager for an initial 13 month period.

Overview of the Programme/Project

NDA'd project.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

This role requires strong project management to ensure the following are undertaken in line with the bank's standards and expectations of the Programme Manager.

1. Responsible for the end to end delivery of the project including business case creation through to benefits delivery
2. Responsible for project mobilisation and planning.
3. Responsible for end to end delivery of project, managing risks and issues as required.
4. Timely reporting and close communication with Programme Manager and other key Stakeholders.

Essential Skills and Experience

'An experienced 'strong' PM

Soft skills:

- Confidence to lead workshops for work streams, challenge peers and senior managers constructively.
- Proactive in managing self as well as managing upwards regards doabilty and prioritisation deliverables and raise concerns where deadlines/workloads are proving challenging to meet in advance.
- Comfortable working tasks in a more Agile approach as opposed to classic Waterfall.
- Need to be flexible in their approach and a lateral thinker in terms of solutionising & prioritising/managing workload.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Experienced Project Manager who can demonstrate that they have performed this role for at least 5 years
Has previously worked in Change and is familiar with CMA process and governance
Project Manager must be dynamic and demonstrate proactive behaviours. Proven track record of working on own initiative.
Proven ability to establish strong working relationships with stakeholders and senior management.
Well organised and able to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
