Financial Analyst - FP&A/High Wycombe/6 months Contract/21 to 30 GBP (Per Hour)

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Financial Analyst of the highest calibre to join the Janssen R&D UK FP&A team in High Wycombe. Reporting to the Finance Manager this role is an integral part of the UK Finance FP&A team, currently consisting of 6 employees and the role involves business support and analysis both locally and globally.
The Janssen R&D UK Management Reporting Company (MRC) consists of four businesses:
The finance team also provides shared services to the London Innovation Centre, J&J Health and Wellness Solutions, and Janssen Prevention Center UK (JPC).
Additionally, the JRD UK Finance team has global JRD COE Responsibilities for Hedging, UA & SOD, and Approval thresholds.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate should have a strong analytical mind-set and should be confident in representing FP&A Finance UK and the businesses at a local and global level. They should have the ability to develop strong business relationships across different countries and in varying areas of the business. They should be proficient in financial analysis, financial reporting and be willing to some travel within the role.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Take a lead role in month and quarter end closing processes in accordance with US GAAP principles, J&J Worldwide Procedures and internal operating procedures
- Timely and accurate reporting and monitoring of actual and budget data to J&J Corporate through three different reporting systems (BRAVO, LYNX and TM1)
- Maintaining and monitoring accurate financial master data in SAP Beacon
- Ensuring compliance with all SOX requirements
- Main contact for annual statutory audits of HWPM, JR&D UK and X01 Limited
- Responsibility for R&D tax credits for Janssen R&D UK
- Business partner to the HWPM Enterprise Facilities Management team
- Overall responsibility for the effective execution of the Global R&D user access and segregation of duties process and cross system review
- Overall responsibility for the annual review of Global R&D journal and accrual thresholds
- Participation in ad hoc projects, initiatives and analysis, both locally and globally
- Some travel requirements within Europe and US
- Opportunity for global exposure by participating in Global R&D Finance projects
Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Relevant post qualification experience
- Technically strong, with the ability to manage and control a broad area of responsibilities
- High level of integrity
- Driven to achieve excellent results
- Proactive and willing to develop the role
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work and deadlines
- A team player but also with the ability to work independently and to adapt to changes in a dynamic business environment
- Strong influencing & communication skills with the ability to lead conversations with senior team members
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and also Adobe
- Prior knowledge of SAP is desirable
- Experience of working in an environment with both a local and global focus is desirable
