We are looking for a financial analyst who has worked on the customer side of a large government agency implementation. The role is in Balmain and is an immediate start for a minimum of 6 months.

Financial Analyst Role

The ICT Finance Analyst is responsible for being the key resource and subject matter expert on the aspects of the transition program ensuring there is accountability for developing and managing financial strategies, plans and financial benefits of the transition program. An understanding of NSW Health would be beneficial.

The role and responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner that is consistent with the mission, values, customer promise, strategic priorities, performance goals, delegations, policies, procedures and operations systems of eHealth NSW, and in line with the NSW Health Code of Conduct and the Capabilities required to perform this role competently.

The accountabilities outlined below indicate the scope of the position. The incumbent may be asked to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically stated in this description.
Provide high level analysis and support while facilitating expert advice to support IT projects, planning and delivery of initiatives.
Analyse and consolidate information to develop business cases to support achievement of business objectives
Elicit business process requirements by using a broad range of effective engagement techniques
Work with key stakeholders to identify how changing business requirements may be delivered with existing solutions.
Support projects by undertaking analysis and impact assessments including testing, training and business transitions.
Providing high quality and timely financial modelling advice in a way that non-specialists can readily understand.
Using innovative tools and methodologies to collect, examine and model an organisation's IT spend, including assisting with the development of IT business cases.
Evaluating and comparing IT service provider pricing to support and inform pricing negotiations with Service Providers.
