IT. Alliance Group is a leading provider of IT outsourcing and IT managed service solutions for global IT service providers. As part of the IT Alliance organization you will work directly on a client site working closely with the in-house team to provide the best possible customer experience that the client requires.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who will take on the management of a key client project, with the goal of delivering the project on time, within budget and within scope.
- Delivery of multiple RFS projects concurrently, or a single complex RFS project
- Managing a team of junior PMs and their associated projects
- Provision of project status reporting and documentation
- Managing Project Technical Resources
The Requirements of the Role
Strong infrastructure PM experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
- Data centre design and build
- IT Infrastructure design and build
- Relocating customer Servers between data centres
- Implementing highly resilient networks and storage area networks
- Migrating data from Legacy storage devices
- Server consolidation using virtualisation
- Implementing monitoring tools
- Migrating to new versions of IT Infrastructure components
- Establish reporting for Service Level Agreements
- Executing tests for IT and Business to prove the IT Infrastructure
- Transition to IBM Service Desk
- Set up ITIL Processes
- Handover from project mode to steady state
- Enhancing customers' business recovery capabilities
- Disaster Recovery testing
- Exploiting global capabilities to deliver service to the customer
- Managing suppliers and sub-contractors
- Managing senior stakeholders
- Managing teams of up to 20 people
- Typical project duration is 3-12 months
The skills required for the role are as follows:
- Minimum 5 Years PM Experience managing IT Infrastructure projects with budgets of up to €500k, with multiple work streams, or managing multiple projects concurrently
- PMP/PRINCE II certification
- Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in the fields of computer science
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, with the ability to build and cultivate an effective project team and interact with existing groups and teams within the organisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Advanced Financial Knowledge
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
- Excellent Presentation skills
