Sourcing/Procurement Analyst - E procurement, London - £310 per day - 9 month Contract
Large FMCG based in West London near to Heathrow airport require a Sourcing Analyst to work in large procurement project who has specific esorucing experience.
Procurement is a pioneering, influencing function; with more than 800 members across 50 countries where we actively manage around £13bn of spend per annum across both direct and indirect categories. We influence the company's entire third-party expenditure, partnering with business units and driving value from supplier relationships to support strategies and targets.
The Project
Procurement has embarked on the journey to implement world-leading spend analytics, eSourcing, contract management and supplier management tools, all integrated with the global ERP system. The result is therefore a fully integrated procurement process, where within the same system:
Reporting to the Procurement Technology Team and aligning to a category team, this new role will provide analytical support throughout the sourcing project life cycle to improve the quality, efficiency and results of our procurement activities. The successful candidate will complete opportunity analysis from spend analytics (eg to combine and increase the size/complexity of projects) and advise on eSourcing process and shape data gathering requirements. The candidate will be a strong advocate of the use of technology and will leverage our offshore support to build and run complex sourcing events.
Procurement Technology Knowledge
Strong ambassador for use of procurement technologies (eSourcing, CLM & Performance Mgt)
Work with Infosys outsource partner to ensure smooth running of sourcing and contract management activities
Manage, promote, support and run e-sourcing events across multiple spend categories, to ensure procurement approach the market in the right way, using the right tools and technology.
Be a subject matter expert on procurement systems, being the go to person for advice on event management, optimisation and for any procurement technology escalations across procurement
Assist in the continuous improvement, implementation and alignment of procurement technology processes and relevant documentation
Identify requirements and support/deliver systems training and capability build where appropriate
EXPERIENCE
Technical or numerical degree educated and/or relevant qualifications/experience.
2+ years experience of procurement or analytics environment with a strong technical, problem solving and analytical mindset.
Experience with SAP procurement solutions preferable.
Strong communication skills (presentation, written and verbal).
Self-starter, able to work independently whilst contributing to a team environment.
Exposure to working with Outsourced providers
This contract is based in West London and offers a daily rate up to £310 per day for an initial 9 months followed by extension.
