Description
We have an exciting opening for an experienced Project Manager to join our Team based in Stockholm. Working under our contract with the European Centre of Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) you will help strengthen Europe's defences against infectious diseases and ensure that Europe is prepared for major health emergencies.
We are looking for a Project Manager with experience in the following tasks
- Specification, development, implementation and maintenance of information systems
- Guide the team in charge of project activities and review their deliverables.
- Manage the change control procedure gaining agreement for revisions to the project from relevant stakeholders
- Provide effective leadership for the project team ensuring that team members are motivated and constantly developing their skills and experience
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement project related tasks, ensuring proper communication
- Coordinate the delivery of, and contribute to Feasibility studies and related studies
We are seeking candidates with the following profile:
- University degree with minimum 6 years of experience in IT OR non a minimum 12 years of experience in IT
- 4 years of experience in Project Management of IT software development and maintenance projects, software product life cycle management
- Experience with agile software development (for instance, Scrum) or other iterative development processes (for instance, RUP)
- PMI Certification with proficiency in Project Management tools such as MS Project
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience in the area of public health/epidemiology or other health areas is beneficial
The position is offered as a freelance contract. Applicants should be able to start in November 2017.
