Description

A Global Leading Banking organisation are looking to hire an experienced Senior Credit Sanctioner. The successful candidate will have successfully delivered in a similar role with another leading international bank and possess strong credit risk management expertise.

Purpose of role:

  • Credit risk management and sanctioning of credit proposals within delegated discretion or recommendation of credit proposals to relevant sanctioning level.

Key Accountabilities and Skills required:

  • Key specific accountabilities. The jobholder will be responsible for reviewing/undertaking credit analysis and sanctioning/recommending exposure and exposure policies within acceptable risk parameters for a portfolio of clients within the Global Corporates space.
  • Stakeholder management and leadership. Responsibilities include building relationships and regular dialogue with relevant stakeholders (Sales, Banking, Coverage, DCM, Portfolio Management, Legal, Operations, etc.) as well as developing others and enabling high performance.
  • Decision making and problem solving. Job requires proven sanctioning experience, extensive transaction experience and strong commercial and credit judgement. Driving effective processes, continuous improvement and innovation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a corporate credit sanctioner in an international banking environment.
  • Extensive transaction experience, including Leverage Finance.
  • Strong appreciation of general accounting principles, cash flow and balance sheet analysis and interpretation, financial models and modelling techniques, risk measurement and hedge management techniques.
  • Strong knowledge across a wide range of Corporate and Investment Banking products.
  • Ability to apply high standards of quality and quantity.
  • Timely and effective problem solving and decisions making.
  • Proactive, energetic and resilient individual with can-do approach.
  • Decisive, clear, and capable of acting at speed and have the energy and resilience to work in a complex and challenging environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven track record of demonstrating integrity, initiative, strong commitment and collaborative approach.
  • Ability to challenge, influence, and drive implementation of change and best practice.
