Supply Chain/Logistics Solution Analyst

THE COMPANY:
This is an opportunity to increase or gain new knowledge as a supply chain/logistics solution analyst. This is ideal for those looking for a long-term contract in Europe. My client is a growing large firm who are known for adopting a professional working environment and allowing Candidates to grow their knowledge and become part of the succession planning for the area. Experience in the Steel or manufacturing industry would be an advantage.

THE ROLE:
You will be working closely with the relationship manager. Habitually, you will be interacting with both Business analysts and business relationship manager. You will create requirement documents based on the business needs to help drive the solution direction for the support team. During the different phases the analyst plays a key role in testing either approving of disapproving.

Duties:
Providing solution directions, to change applications in line with requirements
Assessing the possibilities how to realize the desired functionalities
Budget management
Proposing reviews, to ensure compliance of business needs
Supplies vendors with necessary information to make a proposal, a.o. for integration with the functional domain architecture.
Reviews vendor proposals and specifications for application changes, and analyses the impact of changes to other applications.
Solution approval, to ensure the quality of solutions before implementation.
Reviews test reports and discuss changes with vendors and the business analysts.
Approves solutions for implementation in the system landscape and ensures the documentation of changed applications is updated.
Analyses causes of failures and contacts users and architects to find clues.

THE CANDIDATE
To be successful in this role you must show have previous experience in a similar role with experience in advising on, reviewing and approving proposed changes in (parts of) applications that are less comprehensive (regarding eg the impact on business processes, the integration with other business and IT processes (single applications) and/or the innovative character). You must have the right to work in the EU.

THE PACKAGE:
This is an 18-month contract role with a rate of 670 Euro located in the Netherlands.
