Principal Electrical Engineer - Hull & Outfit (Tech Management)
A Principal Electrical Engineer is required to work on a six month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Cumbria.
This is a 6-month contract with a leading UK Defence business
Overview of the Principal Electrical Engineer contract role
The primary remit for Technology Management (TM) is to identify and progress technology items (Technology Demonstrator Programmes (TDP's), either supporting the boat design or build) which will benefit the Successor programme as either opportunities or risk mitigators.
Key skills required for the Principal Electrical Engineer
Experience required:
- Leading projects where development of technology is the driver.
- Experience with the introduction of university based research into an engineering environment.
- Understanding of PM processes - working to schedule, documenting meeting minutes, actions tracking
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels through oral and written briefings and technical reports
- Degree level education in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline
- Project Management qualifications/experience
The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District
