Description

Job purpose

Manage centrally sourced platforms facilitating the day-to-day management, planning, ingest, quality-control, scheduling, presentation, placement and removal of content within the Entertainment product family. Ensure assets availability and quality and facilitate an optimal user experience of customers when discovering content within the Entertainment domain. Work closely with the Product managers responsible for the roadmap, development and delivery of Metadata & Content Management Systems to ensure continuation in operations during changes in the Entertainment ecosystem and country requirements. Work closely with other Q&PO and broader T&I teams, suppliers, country teams and product management to realize tangible improvements for the in-product required for customers to properly identify and optimally enjoy their entertainment content. Work closely with Marketing, Programming, countries and Product development teams to ensure the rich exposure of relevant content within the user interface. Lead continuous improvements to optimize the effectiveness, speed and quality of the content delivery into the Entertainment platforms.

Key Accountabilities

Translate the company's customer value proposition(s) for Entertainment into meaningful, industry-leading products, propositions & solutions that delight our customers and fit our Simple, Do More, Considerate mantra

Work closely with Programming, Marketing, country and Content teams for the introduction of new content from studios and broadcasters (existing and new) into the platform

Manage optimal quality of content assets available both in terms of position, presentation, streaming quality, posters and metadata

Work closely with Technology teams to improve and optimize the delivery flow from studio/broadcasters to the company's customers

Ensure reporting on the health of content delivery and tracking KPIs and SLAs related to quality and availability of delivered content

Define and manage operational procedures, recommending upgrades and improvements that best meet requirements for cost effective, flexible & dynamic scheduling of services in multiple languages across multiple territories

Be pro-active, instigate improvements and encourage best practice across markets with the objective to drive product leadership

Ensure that analytics, customer and market input, product performance and external benchmarking drive the product management priorities in the Entertainment Products space

Drive NPS & customer satisfaction by optimising product performance, improving reliability and stability, continuously balancing the introduction of new features with the implementation of defect fixes

Write and maintain central product concept and requirements documentation

Work in optimal Tandem formation with the managers of the Entertainment Platforms, Entertainment Services and Studio & Design teams

Act as credible central counterpart and product authority to the company's in-country product teams for the coordination and implementation of product requirements related to the Q&PO domain

Contribute from within Entertainment Products to cross-company quality improvement drives

Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Experience in the entertainment/content/TV/media arena, with a strong emphasis on product development & management, content operations and/or quality management (in such areas as interactive/digital TV, VoD, OTT, broadcasting and/or digital media)

Experience of supporting a subscription-based business, with proof-points in customer retention/innovation

Leadership of cross-functional teams in the creation of successful new product solutions

Proven track record in customer centricity and customer-focused technological innovation

Experience with working in Matrix organisations combining centralised corporate product/marketing functions with local affiliate territory marketing & sales operations

Ideally first-hand experience of both types of environments (central/local) within European market(s)

Passionate and persistent about quality, putting the customer first, and driving continuous improvement

Fluent spoken and written English, ideally other European languages as well

Thorough understanding of all relevant technology and architecture

Confident and credible influencer, able to command respect

Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situations and to act decisively

Strong communications, negotiating and interpersonal skills to broadly influence and effectively forge partnerships (both internally and externally)

Ability to be supportive, consultative and collaborative and to work effectively across national boundaries

Ability to quickly understand business objectives and to recognise and capitalise on market opportunities

An excellent analytical, numerate mind able to present business cases with clarity

A technical aptitude to understand product features and functions and be a credible counterpart to other Technology & Innovation employees
