Description

My client, one of the leading telco operator, is looking for a Process Consultant to work in the credit control department.

The credit control department is responsible for the credit check process, coordinating direct debit processes & cash allocations, dunning & treatment and directing external collection agencies. The team serves both B2C and B2B.

The credit control team has an ambitious improvement agenda for the coming 6 months. Several elements of this agenda are:
* Review and improve effectiveness of credit check for new customers
* Create insight in the team & process effectiveness and efficiency by installing process tracking and kpi reporting
* Improve effectiveness by use of performance dialogues and improved clarity of roles and responsibilities
* Improve efficiency by identifying and following up on waste
* Resolve some operational backlogs

Main processes in scope are:
* new customers coming in
* collection covering:
o payment processing (direct debet and matching manual payments)
o processing credits and pay outs
o dunning and treatment
o file processing with external debt agencies
o dispute process

The improvement manager will be responsible for initiating and coordinating improvements in the credit control department.

Concrete responsibilities will include:
* Coach the credit control team on applying performance dialogues focused on continuous improvement and running proper day and week starts;
* Lead the effort to create insight in effectiveness and efficiency;
* Work closely together with finance operations team in both Riga & Diemen and with the Customer Operations teams in order to do and support proper root cause analysis;
* Get solutions in place to solve rootcauses. Proposed solutions should focus on both system improvements but also for main part from changing processes and procedures (lower of small it impact changes) and instructions (work smarter)
* Assist management with priority setting on projects and improvements;
* Monitor and/or manage progress on improvements;

Competences and Skills:
* master degree in business or finance
* lean 6 sigma (green belt/black belt) qualification
* preferably 3 years experience in telco or utilities sector
* knowledge of B2C credit control processes (billing, collection)
* good analytical skills
* eager to get solutions in place
* self-starting
* track record in project management
