VBA/Access Developer - Luxembourg

Languages: ENGLISH only

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of development experience with Visual Basic (for Applications):
    • Particularly with Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel
  • Development experience in Java
  • Familiarity with standards and frameworks like JPA, JDBC, Hibernate and Spring are considered an asset
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, or Physics, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of direct experience with similar and relevant IT projects
  • Test experience within Financial IT areas
  • Customer oriented change management communication skills.
  • Project Management skills:
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks under competing deadlines
    • Ability to shift priorities
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills
  • Experience in providing reporting and other communications at a senior management level
  • Ability to document clear and complete business requirements and designs.

Description of work:

  • Support the Subject Matter Expert in reviewing and implementing IT solutions delivered by external parties
  • Follow up on deliverables with internal and external parties
  • Prepare documents to support internal decision making, testing or training material
  • Create and review test strategy/approach, test cases and test execution
  • Develop training/support material
  • Develop and execute an internal communications plan with support material
  • Perform testing, change management documentation and otherwise support the deployment of the technology and hand over to production support
  • Ensure all material is stored on the SharePoint environment for audit purposes
  • Other division related tasks as applicable such as organising and running meetings, developing agendas, preparing minutes, following up on open actions, identifying risk and issues with appropriate mitigating actions
