Description
Our client is currently seeking an IT Project Lead to assist with a new project identified by the business. This project will see all sites and functions operate under a Management Operating System.
The IT portion of the project is in the early stages and will evolve over time as the business understands what this means and what they need. To be successful in this role, you will be a dynamic Project Manager who is willing to move with the requirements and understand the balance between meeting what the business wants whilst ensuring you align to guidance and standards within the IT team.
You will be responsible for the management of small to medium sized projects.
Some of these responsibilities include:
- Lead the delivery of IT projects in accordance with business requirements and needs
- Manage the transition of IT services (including applications and infrastructure) from development, through release and deployment, to steady state' production, including the following processes and activities:
- Contribute to the development of planning, budgets, and IT governance and reporting
- Conduct regular reviews with application suppliers and service providers
To be considered, you must demonstrate the following:
- Extensive experience and proven ability to manage small to medium size IT projects
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Tertiary qualifications in an IT or business discipline
- Knowledge of applicable best practices, policies and procedures
- Highly developed skills in understanding stakeholder needs and requirements and translating these into action plans
- Solution orientation, with a preparedness to roll up your sleeves and be part of a sustainable solution
- Excellent relationship building capabilities, combined with strong communication and presentation skills tailored to the needs of the individual or group
- Willingness to travel on a periodic basis
- Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to effectively manage a project team
- Project Management qualification in PMP, Prince, Agile techniques
