Your tasks:
- Managing of outsourcing projects on a technical level at external partners
- Developing of in-depth expertise and knowledge of external partners to identify best project fit for the development and supply of small molecule starting materials, intermediates and drug substances externally
- Act as single point of contact for various internal stakeholders (e.g. Chemical project leader, colleagues from Synthesis, Analytics and Pilot Plant or Procurement)
- Drive project to achieve planned results in terms of project deliverables, meeting timelines, risk mitigating activities and cost budget
- Take responsibility for outsourced projects
- Seek close co-operation with procurement, SHE-department, quality units and small molecule MSAT (Manufacturing, Science and Technology) group to ensure that projects are run according to internal Roche guidelines
Your qualifications
- PhD in chemistry
- Significant experience in the development of small molecule drug substances (e.g. Process Development, Analytics or Manufacturing)
- Demonstrated project leadership experience
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with a high number of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to build relationships across departments and functions
- Awareness of different cultures and behaviours
- Good overview about regulatory and GMP requirements for development compounds in different clinical phases
- Excellent negotiation skills, fluency in English and German, any other language (e.g. Italian, French, Mandarin) is a plus
