NextLink is a SAP Service Company created in 1996. Through our offices in London, Lausanne, Basel, Barcelona and Bangalore we support around 60 big companies in implementing SAP based solutions.

We are currently looking for a SAP FI/CO Project Manager for ARIBA E-invoicing implementation to work for our final client in Barcelona.

The ideal candidate must have a strong knowledge of SAP FI/CO and experience in Project Management roles, with at least 1 project involving Ariba module.

Introduction to the project

In the context of ARIBA e-invoicing project, the client requires an external service to provide IT Project Management.

The service is there to ensure the successful project planning and execution throughout all phases of the client project management methodology. Responsible for creating and tracking detailed project plan, effectively leading and facilitating project IT activities though all IT organization, proactively controlling project scope, risk and issues.

Current status: Ariba is implemented in the group and is under the implementation of the E-procurement Area and they will need a connector to their SAP. The pre analysis for the project was done by business but the service will need to review if all analysis applies from IT side.

Go live for pilot is planned end of November (for example with the 10 first vendors)

You will be responsible for creating and tracking detailed project plans, leading and facilitating project IT activities, controlling project scopes, risks and issues.

Competences required to perform the service

Solid professional experience in SAP Project Management with Finance and Controlling scope, more than 10 years' experience (10-15 years)
  • Most of it in SAP Projects (implementations, roll-outs, upgrades, integration with 3rd party software)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Familiar to work with virtual teams (off-shore)
  • Medium - long assignments to each customer (between 6 months and 2 years)


Key responsibilities (must have):
  • IT Project Management methodologies
  • Define, plan and direct the execution of projects balancing demands of scope, time, cost, quality, resources and risk
  • Finance and Controlling business process implementation in SAP environment
  • Formulate risk mitigation strategies and recommend solutions
  • Facilitate project management activities across the organization (business and Group IT) and manage relationships with various technology and business communities to achieve project objectives
  • Ensure successful and timely completion of deliverables. Track progress against baseline schedule
  • Formulate risk migration strategies and recommend solutions
  • Track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Tasks will also include tests with the Vendors (mapping with all vendors what is sent, test that the integration with ITOP (invoice to Pay)
  • IT classification report with IT, security, legal


Good Knowledge (must have):
  • Indirect Procurement processes (PR's, PO's, GR and Invoices)
  • Accounts Payable, Indirect Procurement (with E-Procurement implementation experience)
  • Familiar with integration solutions like SAP ARIBA
