Our client, are looking for a Chief Internal Auditor, to join the existing team to cover a maternity leave. This will be a day rate contract and does sit within IR35. Reporting into the Head of Policy, you will be responsible for ensuring the internal audit division provides an excellent service to the business and meets the needs of the business.
Duties will be varied but will include:
- Regularly advising senior management on all aspects of internal audit
- Continue with the internal audit plans
- Report to the Audit and Governance board
- Ensure the business complies with all requirements - such as governance and audit standards
- Provide annual statements on compliance and internal control
- Work with external suppliers and auditors
- Undertake a full service of internal audit monitoring
- Prepare risk plans
- Undertake any other internal audit related duties as required by the CEO
To be considered for this role you will have the following:
- Extensive experience in a senior management role within internal Audit - this could be Head of Internal Audit, Chief Internal Auditor or similar
- CCAB qualified or equivalent
- Able to demonstrate strong internal audit solutions
- Ability to control an internal audit function
