Electrical and Installation Technician

An Electrical and Installation Technician is required to work on a three-month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our defence client based in Christchurch.

This is a 3-month contract with a leading UK defence company.

Overview of the Electrical and Installation Technician contract role

You will be required to undertake a defined range of Electrical and Installation activities. The Defence Information requires a Systems Installation/Electrical Technician to support a number of its IT programmes.

Key skills required for the Electrical and Installation Technician

The successful technician will be directed by the System Installation Engineer and undertake the following types of work:

  • City and Guilds Level 3 (In service Equipment Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment)
  • City and Guilds BS7671 Level 3 (IT Installation)
  • Certificate for Domestic Electrical Installers , , EAL
  • Electro technical CSCS card
  • IT Network & Power Cables qualifications/experience
  • MOD Installations & CIDA would be an advantage
  • CAD drawing experience would also be a plus point
