SAP Peripherals Co-ordinator

Cambridge

6 months Contract - Competitive Rate

The role of the Peripherals Co-ordinator is to ensure all the peripheral devices required for the testing phases and production Go-Live are connected and compliant to the required standards.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure all the Peripheral equipment required for the Test and Production Phases (scanners, printers, label printers, weigh scales etc.) are at the correct software level, align to the build specifications are installed and connected to the SAP Test environments.
  • Working with the Enterprise Architecture team, Deployment Team and the business to ensure all the On-Site peripherals are at the correct build level and software to be operational with the Solution at Go-Live.
  • Identify and facilitate the upgrade of non-complaint devices
  • Identify any costs associated with upgrades or additional equipment required
  • Raise the necessary orders to ensure compliance of the devices
  • Ensure all client's install documentation is completed and approved.
  • Co-ordinate the install, testing and defect resolution of the peripherals
  • Assist the Non-SAP Technical Lead with any issues relating to Non SAP interfaces as required
  • Complete the Peripherals plan deliverable update and gain relevant approvals.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • Excellent understanding of the peripheral devices and their connectivity to SAP
  • Previous experience with full life cycle implementations of ERP (SAP)s within a Process manufacturing organisation.
  • Experience working with 3rd Party Software providers and contracts
  • Excellent technical project planning skills with proficiency in common project planning tool sets (such as MS Project).
  • Ability to establish and meet deadlines, multi-task and prioritise without the requirement for regular direct supervision
  • Ability to liaise with teams from the business, architecture and deployment to reach a satisfactory outcome

Desirable

  • Previous experience with full life cycle implementations of Manufacturing Execution Systems within a Process manufacturing organisation.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
