Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst

My client, and international financial services business in London are actively looking for a contract Cyber Intelligence analyst to join their existing technical security team. You will act as the interface between the intelligence feeds from researchers, vendors, other organisations and wider media and will interpret these into metrics for the Threat intelligence manager, and wider business. Based on analysis and interpretation you will work proactively to protect the organisation from ever evolving Cyber Threat.

The role:

  • Collection, processing, and dissemination of threat information from open sources, hacker forums, and peer exchange forums worldwide
  • Researching criminal, state-sponsored, and hacktivist groups likely to target the organisation.
  • Collaborating with other teams to analyse the exposure associated with emerging threats.
  • Handling incoming research requests and intelligence requirements from other teams
  • Assisting with technology aspects of investigations lead by corporate security, fraud, and financial crime teams.
  • Supporting regular management reporting produced by the team.
  • Proactive identification of opportunities for improvement in the tooling, information sources, and the overall service provided by the team.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
  • Ability to collect, analyse, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources
  • Good technical security writing skills
  • Thorough understanding of the techniques, technologies, and economics associated with cyber attacks.
  • Awareness of cyber security trends and developments.
  • Broad understanding of security controls and the ability to evaluate residual exposure to complex threats in specific control environments.
  • Ability to deliver to a schedule, prioritise conflicting tasks, and service occasional time-critical requests as required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a technical cyber security role in a corporate environment, with experience in an investigations or incident management role a plus.
  • Experience with managing relationships with IT and business stakeholders.
