Role requirements

The main requirement for this role is to understand the different operational set-ups and processes in the clients' various country locations and to be able to devise jointly with the country teams effective and efficient standardised governance and reporting mechanisms to facilitate and foster continuous improvement, and support executive decision making.

On a day to day basis, support country teams to effectively drive continuous risk management/improvement in and across country operations teams.

Skills required

  • Track record in risk management
  • Strong track record in business improvement or operational improvement management, with strong focus on management information systems and analytics, in alignment with business/strategy
  • Strong customer focus and knowledge of business functions
  • Proven track record of establishing management systems to enable improvements in efficiency and effectiveness, translating between technology and business needs and engaging effectively, influencing and working cross-functionally at all levels.
  • Very good understanding of operations processes and analytics: identifying/implementing KPIs and balanced scorecards to improve operational performance, diagnostic reviews and benchmarking
  • Knowledge in operational cost reduction: The application of tools and techniques to aid consistent and emotion-free analysis of cost reduction targets, for example, Zero based budgeting
  • Understanding of Lean thinking and process improvement: The application of standard process design and improvement techniques, including effective implementation of process changes in operational environments.
  • Ideally experience of global process re-engineering and change projects within complex, diverse organisations
  • Previous experience of working in a consulting environment is a plus
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships in complex, international Matrix organization
  • Understanding of complex Financial Services environments desirable
  • Leadership of Matrix/virtual project work streams
  • Legal/auditing/financial background desirable, but not essential
  • Excellent written & spoken English essential. Multiple languages preferred
