Competitor Financial Analyst
Major Energy suppler is looking to appoint an experienced Competitor Financial Analyst to join their team in Staines on a 3 month contract
The Competitor Financial Analyst will support the Pricing team in analysing competitor financial positions. By understanding competitors' financial drivers the analyst will provide insight to the team and the wider business helping them understand future retail market developments
The analyst will be self-driven and highly competent in the financial analysis, being able to sift through large amount of publicly available data to gain insight in to retail market competitors strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- By working with other team members and the wider business the analyst will develop unique insights into the drivers behind these strategies.
- Ability to both inside-out and outside-in analysis to the team, looking beyond the surface to understand if and what disruptions might occur in the retail market and what might drive incumbent players to become disruptors
- The analyst will be able to effectively communicate these insights across wide areas of the business
- Modelling multiple scenarios and presenting third party strategic choices to senior stakeholders is a key consideration for the area
- Strong Excel and VBA skills are a must
- Financial qualifications and a strong track record of understanding competitive market strategies provide the foundation for success in this role
