Sopra Steria Recruitment is working in partnership with a major public sector client in the UK. We are currently recruiting Financial modelling and reporting lead for 6 months contract initially with possible extension.

This role is falling Inside IR35

Job Summary:

Working to the Senior Finance Business Partner this role will support the college of policing in preparing for an exciting and challenging period of change in the way the organisation manages its finances. The role will develop, implement and maintain financial models to deliver analysis, reports and planning to support the finance function.

The role will be required to:

Build and maintain financial models taking information from the College's financial systems.

Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support Senior Finance Business Partner and Head of Finance.

Implement process to provide timely, accurate and concise financial information to budget holders and other stakeholders.

  • Review and improve management accounts production timetable and processes, to provide user friendly finance information to budget holders
  • Develop charging models that underpin the College's approach to charging
  • Documentation of key policies/processes across management accounts reporting
  • Identifying and Implementing improvements to key financial processes

Essential:

  • Experience of working in a police force environment
  • Experience in developing financial models/analytics
  • Experience of detailing and changing finance processes

Desirable:

  • Wider experience of delivering financial analysis
  • Experience of working with SAP

Qualifications and skills required:

Qualified Professional Account (CCAB or equivalent)
