A contract role has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to join this busy Pharmaceutical manufacturing facility based in Ireland.You will be required to provide project engineering skills in a fast paced technical environment working on a number of Capital Projects. Ideally someone with an electrical/mechanical background.
Responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for defining, planning, tracking and managing assigned engineering projects.
- Identifying key resources and providing the required direction for meeting the project objectives. Responsible for also ensuring appropriate management, customer, supplier and key stakeholder involvement throughout the project life cycle.
- Leading and active participation for full life cycle of projects from inception through to final handover.
- Execution and development of change controls.
- Technical engineering representative.
- Preparation of URS and FDS documentation.
- Procurement of equipment and instrumentation.
- Preparation and Execution of FAT's and SAT's.
- Scheduling works around manufacturing schedules.
- Contractor and vendor management.
- Compiling spare parts lists And PM's for final handover.
- Leading the commissioning and qualification support.
- Preparation and Execution of commissioning and qualification documentation for equipment, utilities and facilities.
- Root cause analysis of system failures, substandard performance, using standard tools and methods, to resolve machine and system issues such as FMEA.
- P&ID Generation and Process design.
- PFD Generation.
- Specifying Instrumentation and mechanical process equipment (Pumps, valves, tanks etc).
- Design of instrumentation and mechanical process systems.
- Compiling E&I SOWs.
- Reviewing vendor proposals.
- Project Engineer duties within a Pharmaceutical OR Biopharm environment.
- API - active pharmaceutical ingredient highly advantageous.
- CAPEX Projects.
- Good understanding of GMP.
