Safety software/systems - Contract - Coventry - Consultancy
I am currently working on a very exciting opportunity with one of my automotive clients who is based in the Coventry area.
They are looking for functional safety engineers who will be responsible for safety developments for complex systems. The safety engineer will work with cross-functional teams to design and develop products in compliance with ISO 26262.
Main responsibilities are:
- carrying out functional safety activities
- guiding customers to develop both new and existing systems/technologies in compliance with ISO 26262
- Leading and supporting cross-functional teams on safety matters across the entire V-model life cycle
Requirements:
- knowledge and experience of ISO 26262, familiarity with other safety standards eg IEC 61508)
- Experience of delivering projects in compliance with ISO 26262
- Able to focus on the key aspects of hazards and safety risks, whilst providing safety input to technical engineering solution
- Knowledge and experience of complementary safety analysis techniques (HAZOP, FFA, FMEA, FTA, FHA)
- demonstrated ability in interpreting and assessing complex vehicle systems of verification and validation
