Data Analyst or Software Engineer with ElasticSearch/ELK

TEAM

  • Team is in the process of building additional features in RS platform which is built to provide Real Time communication, for example: Audio calls, Video calls, Texting and Messaging
  • Infrastructure team sends a lot of data to ElasticSearch infrastructure
  • Looking for a good Data analyst to build the ElasticSearch infrastructure: Load data, Build tables and Report on it
  • ElasticSearch is already installed, looking for someone who has worked on ELK and to own it from an admin standpoint: take data from ELK and build a report, know the types of data and queries needed.
  • Must know where the data came from and how the data resides, database and dump

TOP 3 MUST HAVES:

  • Must have installed ELK and run it (hands-on experience). Key components: Logstash that is indexing component, and ElasticSearch saving the data. Scaled it, then optimized it from infrastructure to monitoring
  • Reporting out of ELK: querying the Kibana, monitoring and data analysis
  • Scripting: on Python or JavaScript (preferred). Take data out of ELK, manipulate the data and build some applications and take the data and present it in a better way, do data massaging in a Scripting language.

    • Other requirements

    • Must have a Bachelors in Computer Science, or relevant
    • This is a Data analyst position. Be very good at database management, must have SQL experience.
    • A good level of communication to express requirements and capabilities from the Elastic search perspective. High visible report communication to upper mgmt.

    NICE TO HAVE:

    • Big data is a plus - Hadoop
    • Splunk is a plus
