Description
Investigo are delighted to be supporting an established financial services business in their search for a Qualified Financial Accountant, to join them on an interim basis in their Mortgages Financial Control team, for an initial period of 6months.
The role is working within the businesses Mortgage Financial Control team. The team is responsible for the financial accounting, reporting and controllership of the Mortgages business line, including Securitisations.
The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the Financial Accountant and the Controller with all aspects of financial accounting day to day and month end activities, and projects relating to finance and mortgages.
Financial & Management Accounts
Building ad-hoc reports (Excel) and improving current reports.
Prepare, process and review Income/Expense/Provision/Accruals/Prepayments etc.
Review and posting of GL journals.
Review, substantiation and analysis of accounting entries for the Mortgages business.
Documentation of processes and procedures.
Identify/implement process improvements and efficiencies.
Reconciliation of source system and general ledger.
Support the production of business line financial accounts.
Support production of analytical reports to management and Group Finance.
Controllership
Maintain integrity of financial controls.
Control integrity of financials from source systems.
Drive process improvements.
Provide control and monthly reporting for Securitisation
Audit
Assist and provide external auditors with supporting documents/schedules.
Assist in providing financial disclosures to group finance.
Qualifications
You will be a Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ICAEW) with at least 2 years post qualification experience
You will have experience of working within Financial Services
