A leading retail group in Saudi Arabia is looking for an experienced consultant to lead and head up their Indirect Tax department, ensuring compliance with new VAT legislation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This is a great assignment for anybody who likes to lead, manage and set up new VAT compliance in a group structure. The CFO described this as
"A high-profile position to significantly transform the business compliance across the Group structure"
To successfully deliver this project, you will need to have:
- Professional Tax or Accountancy qualifications.
- Significant experience in indirect tax positions
- Significant experience working for large, multinational organisations
- Significant experience of tax transformation and building tax processes from scratch
- Significant experience of leading projects and delivering change
- Team management experience
- The ability to lead a team of financial professionals and create a development plan for team members.
Some More information about the role:
- Responsible for ensuring compliance for the Group acting as a reference point for both the team and ensuring that agreed compliance measures are operating effectively across the Group.
- Managing a team of up to 6 individuals, the Indirect Tax Manager ensures the Indirect Tax Team is aware of changes in VAT legislation to ensure that they are being understood and impacts are being discussed and agreed.
- Establish regular reporting mechanisms with the Board members and senior leadership to communicate the status of compliance with VAT legislation.
- Engages with suppliers and customers to provide clarity on VAT legislation as required.
- 80% of the role is coaching and mentoring team members and other stakeholders around the Group.
