Description

Sales Engineer - Melton Mowbray - 15.40 per hour
The role assumes full technical and commercial responsibility for the preparation of quotations according to client enquiry. Quotations may be prepared based on standard price lists, contract pricing, or there may be a limited bespoke' design requiring some estimation of material, labour and design costs. In general, quotations will cover standard modules and products/spares.
The role provides comprehensive progress, support and processing of ALL sales orders. A key aspect of the role is to provide commercial and technical support for station orders. The Internal Sales Engineer interacts internally and externally to ensure that orders meet client and Honeywell technical and commercial needs within the required deadlines.
The two roles are complimentary and the familiarity with the quotation and any clarifications raised during the bid process ensures efficient and accurate processing of the order.
Departmental:
Administrative support for external Senior Account Managers.
Preparation of quotations and proposals varying from product and spares to standard modules (typical values ranging from 500 to 100,000).
Technical and Commercial evaluation of enquiries
Technical and commercial liaison with clients and all other parts of the company.
Technical and commercial evaluation of orders
Processing of orders, varying from Spares and Products to Skid Mounted Packages
Specification Sheet Generation
Short BOM and Work Order Generation
Collate and Issue of Work Order Packages for stations
Data entry and updates on Business System and Database
Processing spares, product and standard contract module quotes
Individual:
Technical evaluations of Client requirements.
To liaise with clients prior to and during the quotation process. Continued contact during the order process in order to confirm scope of work, equipment specifications and delivery schedule
To liaise with Purchasing in order to obtain supplier quotations for materials and components
To liaise with Engineering to agree CAD/Project Engineering costs
To provide a professional image of the company, for all external contact and communications.
To liaise with Production on scheduling and delivery of modules
To attend internal technical/commercial and production meetings.
To provide spares, product and standard contract module costings for quotations.
To provide guidance and information to other personnel within who are involved in the preparation of information and documentation for inclusion in orders.
To ensure that all order activities are properly documented to meet internal and external requirements.
To assist in the hand-over and transition of successful quotations to Project Engineering.
General telephone duties
SKILLS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Product Knowledge

Clear Internal and External written and verbal Communications at all levels
Computer skills inc. Microsoft Office and company business system
Ability to work on own initiative
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will be degree (or equivalent) educated within a Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering discipline. A minimum of 1 to 2 years ' operating in a technical/commercial role within the petrochemical, oil and gas or process industries would be beneficial.
Pay rate 15.40/hr
