Description

A Top Tier Bank in the City of London is currently looking for a Vice President Conduct Oversight and SMR candidate, paying up to £650 a day - If you meet the following criteria, please send your details through and I will be in touch:

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the development and delivery of sustainable solutions relating to the Senior Managers Regime through robust tools, systems and frameworks (including the (SMF7) Senior Managers Framework and associated artefacts and materials).
  • Support the interpretation and adaption of key regulatory rules, guidance and associated regulatory changes in relation to the Senior Managers Regime.
  • Provide subject matter guidance in the preparation of regulatory submissions for Senior Managers including Statements of Responsibilities and Firm Management Responsibilities Maps.
  • Contribute to the development of Firm Management Responsibilities Maps for all in scope entities.
  • Support handover arrangements between incoming and outgoing Senior Managers.
  • Further linkage and understanding of the impact of the Senior Managers Regime on the wider regulatory environment, in particular post Structural Reform.
  • Provide guidance and support in respect of the IAR extension to all UK regulated entities from 2018.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

  • Strong interpersonal skills required as the role holder will be managing work with senior stakeholders.
  • Regular engagement with senior stakeholders including business and functional leaders in Compliance, HR and Risk.

Risk and Control Objective

  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and internal Policies and Policy Standards.

Person Specification

  • Strong stakeholder engagement, able to confidently engage on regulatory matters with Line Management, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience working within or closely with a Compliance or Regulatory Function in the financial services industry.

  • Excellent team worker
  • Experience of managing multiple and varied tasks through to completion consistently.
  • Strong attention to detail and completing tasks with minimal error rates

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications

  • Creative problem solver
  • Prioritisation skills essential to meet Line Management expectations and to ensure successful delivery
  • Graduate qualification preferred
