Description
An opportunity to join a leading telco organisation as an IFRS Lead. We are looking for someone to manage an IFRS 16 implementation, who has previous technical accounting experience and managing projects, implementation and new processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and drive the IFRS 16 project on behalf of the company and shareholders
- Have an understanding of the impact that IFRS 16 will have on the organisation and shareholders, and educated all affected people
- Document the E2E process and define the RACI on identifying, evaluating, accounting and on-going maintenance of the lease register and information sources
- Propose accounting policy and detailed accounting procedures
- Ensure that shareholder requirements are understood and met both at launch and on a monthly basis
- Identify and propose and resources requirements and system change requirements
- Create a detailed project plan
- Lead and manage the working group made up of shareholder and supplier representatives
- Effectively manage all stakeholders
Key Experience/Knowledge
- ACA/ACCA qualified
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to understand, document and re-engineer processes
- Experience of sourcing, understanding and managing data in a complex environment
- Strong stakeholder management
- Excellent interpersonal skills
