Harvey Nash' client in Edinburgh require a Communications Officer to join their team on an initial 6 month contract.
You will be joining a Public Sector client, reporting in to the Senior Communications Manager, working within a multi-disciplinary team including content design, event management, stakeholder engagement, internal communications and marketing.
You will be tasked with delivering first class communications and engagement campaigns for key projects across the organisation, as well as:
- Provide end to end strategic campaign proposals for projects and lead on the day to day delivery
- Oversee internal design elements required for different channel use including development of info-graphics
- Support the development of comprehensive campaign and event calendars, ensuring all projects are given required status over short, medium and long term
- Deliver professional advice on channel use for specific project needs based on clear understanding of the effective ways to communicate and engage with different stakeholders and customers
- Evaluate and gather relevant and useable data from all aspects of a campaign and use that information to feedback on success as well as provide insight into future campaign development
Essential Skills:
- Significant experience working on end to end campaign development and tactical delivery across multiple channels (digital and non-digital)
- Experience of using data to analyse effectiveness of campaign delivery and using information to inform future activity
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary project team and championing communications and engagement activities during project development and delivery
- Educated to degree level within related field of communications, engagement or marketing and/or have relevant experience of working within a communications, engagement or marketing environment either agency or business side
- Experience of working in an agile project management environment
- Experience of working in, or having an understanding of, the complexity of an organisation undertaking a change programme such as digital transformation
- Experience of delivering full scale national communication campaigns
- Experience of interacting with external agencies (either business or agency side) and articulating ideas and/or providing subject matter insight as well as being able to manage day to day interaction
