SAP Senior Programme manager/SAP Programme Director -London - Global Programme - £100,000 per annum - Plus Car Allowance, bonus and excellent benefits

SAP Senior Programme manager/SAP Programme Director - Williams McKinley have been asked on behalf of a leading global organisation to recruit for a Senior SAP Programme manager, or an SAP Director. The company are going through a major global SAP standardisation programme which will impact on finance, banking and analytics across 25 countries.

In this role the candidate will report to the Senior Director, Finance Applications and will work closely with the SAP Core Team of Solution Architects, Business Process Analysts, BPO partners and End Users.

In partnership with an implementation partner the candidate will work to define processes for ensuring comprehensive requirement definition, detailed design & accurate development and delivery across multiple countries whilst adhering to established change management and governance policies.

Core responsibilities will include:
  • Plan the delivery of the overall global rollout programme and its key activities
  • Provision of programme and project governance to coordinate across multiple projects
  • Develop a project evaluation framework to ensure experience is built into subsequent phases
  • Manage vendor relationships, particularly with the selected Implementation partner
  • Strongly advocate adherence to the global template
  • Ensure each project is delivered on time and to budget
  • Responsible for the overall quality of deliverables
  • In consultation with the Senior Director and Implementation partner, recruit well-qualified program staff
  • Identify and mitigate risks to the programme or individual projects, ensure the correct elevation of risks to the right level of stakeholders
  • Provide regular status reporting to senior stakeholders with recommendations to enhance the quality, increase the speed or reduce the cost of the programme


The ideal candidate will possess the following leadership qualities:
  • Prior experience with designing global templates and deploying global templates preferred
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent - expect 1st or 2:1.
  • Broad experience of 'Big Four' (or similar) consulting practices and methodologies.
  • Strong content knowledge in programme management
