Description

A Renewable Energy client is looking for a Consultant Offshore Inspection Manager to work on various offshore wind farm projects. The Offshore Inspection Manager's role will include the management, coordination, planning and implementation of resources and equipment for annual above water structural inspections and external blade inspections. The manager will also be required to get involved in the training of contracted inspectors in task procedures for the above water structural inspection.

You will be required to assist with coordination, planning of offshore execution of internal blade inspections, gear-box endoscopic inspections and tower compliance assessments. Further requirements may include statutory inspections, ad-hoc inspection programmes, development of inspection techniques and facilitation of offshore audits by certification bodies.

A strong HSE adherence is essential.

This role is due to start 20th November 2017 up until approx. 15th November 2018 with the possibility of extending further thereafter. The Shift pattern for this role will be 12hrs a day, 7 days a week, 14 days on/14 days off, day and night duties should be expected. Accommodation will be on board vessel or flotel.

Requirement:

  • It will be an advantage to have Offshore Wind Farm/Oil & Gas Energy Industry Experience.
  • Must have an extensive experience in managing and inspection within offshore environment, supply chain/fabrication would be preferable.
  • Relevant and current qualifications together with an inspection background, such as PCN level 2 - NDT disciplines (VT, MT, PT, UT, RT) CSWIP - Welding/plant inspection or API qualifications such as API 570 (Pipework) API 571 (Corrosion & materials) are required.
  • Must have excellent reporting and communication skills, strong HSE focus and experience with QA/QC audit processes.

Special Provision:

The Consultant must bring his/her own i-Phone mobile telephone, PC with MS Office 2007 software.
The Consultant must bring his/her own PPE equipment.
