I am currently looking for a MS BI consultant for a long term contract based in the Netherlands
The MS BI consultant will be Responsible for the following:
* Monitoring the architecture and design of the DMAP DHH Front End products;
* Set up, manage and document the technical data exchange environment using the DMAP-DHH Front End products;
* Contribute to transferring DMAP DHH Front End management and operating activities that do not remain in DHH R & I department but are transferred to the DHH IM and/or DMAP Team departments that provide the DMAP Back End developments
* Documentation of DMAP DHH Front End management and operating activities in process descriptions and work instructions and alignment with the various stakeholders;. Assist in the formal capture and documenting of governance on development, management and operating activities within the Directorate of Enforcement;
* Governance on releases of, among others, source systems that affect DMAP DHH products;
* Realization of ETL processes, if applicable;
* Assist in performing system, integration and chain tests involving DMAP DHH Front End products;
* Assist in setting up the development, release management and loading processes where DMAP DHH Front End products are involved;
* Monitoring the performance of the basic facility DMAP DHH Front End Products;
* Direct and collaborate on resolving bugs on basic DMAP DHH Front End Products;
* Schedule, check and recover the required DMAP DHH Front End loading processes;
* Alert end users and administrators in improperly executed processes;
* Monitoring metadata quality;
* Monitoring the basics;
* Developing reports, if applicable;
* Knowledge transfer and sponsorship at relevant departments and employees.
The MS BI consultant will ideally have the following skills and expertise:
* A completed university study in Informatics or Information Science;
* Minimum 4 years of work experience with DWH system design (functional and technical) and knowledge of all (technical) data warehouse components in the past 5 years;
* Experience with the development of development processes, release management and loading processes, at least 4 years in the past 5 years;
* Experience with documenting management and exploitation work in the form of process descriptions and working instructions, for at least 4 years in the past 5 years.
* Knowledge and experience in information analysis, data analysis and dimensional modelling/data modelling, minimum 4 years in the past 5 years;
* Hands-on work experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or 2012, SSIS and SQL Server Database and Transact-SQL in a DWH/BI environment for at least 2 years in the past 5 years;
* Thorough and proven experience with Microsoft Reporting & Analysis Services (SSRS and SSAS), for a minimum of 2 years in the past 5 years;
* Experience with Data Warehouse Automation (Master Data Management Services) for at least 1 year in the past 4 years;
* Minimum 2 years of work experience with Data Vault in the past 4 years;
* Experience with testing system, integration and chain testing, minimum 2 years in the past 5 years;
* Experience with knowledge transfer and sponsorship.
