Edinburgh - Senior Data Manager - up to £510 per day.

EA Change Groups' Edinburgh based banking client urgently requires a motivated and experienced Senior Data Manager to join them on an initial 6 month contract rolling contract.

This is a Senior Management position reporting to the Head of Change for Customer Services and Rectifications Change. The role holder will be aligned specifically to the Credit Operations Mainstream Rectification Portfolio and will therefore also face into the Head of Mainstream Rectifications.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead a team of 3 contracted Senior Business Analyst and 1 Business Analyst. The team will support the data definition build and scoping of new rectification data requests.

The team will perform data analysis with large volumes of customer data, driving out customer cohorts and data to support treatment strategies, tracing files, payment files, mailing files.

Data will be cross referenced with various incoming data sources such as the customer tracing files and with other rectifications that require de-duplication.

Logic is required for each specific rectification which will allow the appropriate treatment strategy to be applied for each customers' circumstances with considerable focus on the handling of exceptions.
This role will face into the business stakeholders, agree priorities, ensure there is alignment and reuse of data. Ensure there is sufficient data resource to support the pipeline and in-flight rectifications and ensure the team are adhering the bank's standards and best practice.
As the resident data SME within the wider GSOC team, this role will also be required to support the Snr Business Architect in developing the longer term strategy for Rectification data and will provide input to the in-progress rectification data operating model for the Group.

Skills required for the successful candidate

  • Strong SAS skills with the ability to stretch, develop and manage the data team from a technical perspective
  • Excellent maths skills
  • Excellent understanding of and the ability to apply best practice in data governance, auditability and control and in providing evidence to external bodies
  • Prior experience in leading and developing a data team essential
  • Strong stakeholder Management skills and experience essential
  • Strong organisational and planning skills essential
