Opportunity for Business Analysts

Our client, a Federal Government Department is seeking the services of a Senior Business Analyst to to assist and execute a range of services.

Contract: Jan 2018 to 30 June 2018 with 2*12 months possible extensions

The services will include and not be limited to:

  • Conducting complex/technical research and analysis activities to assist in the development and implementation of solutions and associated processes;
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders on requirements for complex and/or sensitive issues;
  • Requirements gathering, analysis and management;
  • Conducting workshop and group facilitation;
  • Undertaking solution designing and problem analysis;
  • Supporting continuous business improvement;
  • Identifying and progressing risks, issues and opportunities for the business;
  • Developing and maintaining key documentation and ensuring it is appropriately stored in the department's recordkeeping repository;
  • Peer reviewing key deliverables including the test and training documentation;

The successful candidate will possess the following skills/responsibilities:

  • Minimum 5 years' business analysis experience in medium to large Government organisations;
  • Exposure to a range of methodologies and products, such as Agile Interface Interactive Design, Requirements Management Tools, Microsoft Suite of Tools eg Visio, Word etc;
  • Ability to lead and facilitate business analysis and requirements gathering workshops;
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering requirements documentation, such as functional specifications, use cases and workflows;
  • Excellent communication skills including a proven track record liaising with business to negotiate outcomes;
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks effectively and monitor the tasks of team members to meet project milestones;
  • Demonstrated ability to meet extremely tight deadlines in a dynamic environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment with experience in leading a team;
  • Minimum 2 years' Siebel experience.(Desirable)

The client requires the applicants to hold Australian Citizenship and Baseline clearance for this role.
